BARABOO, Wis. (July 14, 2026) – Gorman & Company joins community leaders, residents, and project partners to celebrate the Fordham Place Groundbreaking & Corson Square Revitalization Ceremony on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., highlighting a transformative investment in affordable housing in Baraboo. Located at 920 10th Street, The event marks a significant milestone for two complementary developments that preserve existing affordable housing while expanding housing opportunities for residents.
At the heart of the investment is Corson Square, a 40-unit affordable housing community owned by the Baraboo Community Development Authority that is undergoing a comprehensive rehabilitation. The revitalization includes substantial improvements to apartment interiors, building systems, accessibility features, and community spaces while preserving affordable housing opportunities for current and future residents. The community consists of 35 one-bedroom and five two-bedroom apartment homes and is being modernized to support its long-term sustainability and continued service to low-income households.
Adjacent to Corson Square, Fordham Place will bring 56 new affordable apartment homes to the neighborhood, including 18 one-bedroom, 26 two-bedroom, and 12 three-bedroom apartments serving households earning between 30% and 60% of area median income.
Together, the two developments represent a comprehensive approach to addressing housing needs through both preservation and new construction.
“Communities like Baraboo continue to see strong demand for affordable housing, especially for working families, seniors, and individuals who want to remain close to jobs, schools, and services,” said Ted Matkom, Market President, Gorman & Company. “Corson Square has been an important part of this community for years, and this revitalization ensures it can continue serving residents for decades to come. At the same time, Fordham Place expands the affordable housing options available in Baraboo. Bringing these two efforts together creates a stronger foundation for the community and for the people who call it home.”
The Fordham Place Groundbreaking & Corson Square Revitalization Ceremony highlights the impact of strong public-private partnerships in addressing Wisconsin’s housing needs. Gorman & Company extends its appreciation to the many organizations and community stakeholders whose collaboration and commitment have helped bring this vision to life, including:
- Baraboo Community Development Authority
