TERRACE BAR – LOCATION, CONSTRUCTION + DESIGN

Construction of The Terrace Bar began in September 2024 by A. Chappa Construction of Sheboygan led by owner Andy Chappa and project manager Jerod Voskuil. Located on the southern edge of the outdoor patio, The Terrace Bar can be accessed directly from the patio spaces and via the Winery building through the semi-enclosed main-level passageway or interior spiral staircase. The new building replaces a free-standing single level building that housed an open air bar and kitchen.

The ground floor of the Terrace Bar features an expansive U-shaped bar with ample stool seating, two hydraulic garage-door size window panels that open vertically to the patio spaces, two individual luxe public bathrooms, and a state-of-the-art industrial kitchen. The second floor features sizable floor-to-ceiling sliding windows with a variety of seating options at tables. Winery guests will enjoy the sweeping panoramic views of the natural woodlands, waterway, wildlife, and the patio from each and every seat of The Terrace Bar.

“The space is designed to celebrate the property’s setting and natural environs by blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors overlooking the treescaped scenery,” said Bob. “The new barspace also increases the number of guests that can enjoy the eclectic mix of  musical performances on the outdoor stage.”

The interiors are detailed by Sheboygan Falls-based interior design firm Distinctive Design led by Steve Peskie, Principal and Owner, who has worked in tandem with Blind Horse Owner Connie Moeller on both the Terrace Bar and The Cellar – Cedarburg. The team has curated intentional interiors blending rustic and refined elements setting an elegant tone. The mindful approach acts as a tribute to the history and legacy of the properties creating a refined, comfortably casual setting.  Together they have defined the design template for The Blind Horse.

“The design approach for The Blind Horse is sophisticated, yet casual, creating sensory-rich inviting spaces with refined furnishings, warm materials, and modern art-inspired decor,” said Connie. “The goal is to create a recognizable aesthetic and ambiance for all of our buildings and properties.”

Signature Blind Horse elements featured in the Terrace Bar project include:

– horse-themed decor and curated art collection
– atmospheric sophisticated lighting selections
– large marble bar-top spaces with elegant seating

Following the opening of The Terrace Bar, the business refreshed the interior spaces of The Winery to mirror the decor and furnishing elements of The Terrace Bar and The Blind Horse Cellar – Cedarburg. The outdoor patio space is also experiencing updates along with the addition of an elevated patio space overlooking the patio stage and seating areas.

TASTING ROOM & TERRACE – NEW MENU CONCEPT

A new menu platform is being introduced for The Winery in time with the opening of The Terrace Bar.
