Fox Cities Chamber: Announces final session of ‘Innovate for Tomorrow: Education & Business Partnership Series’

FOX CITIES, Wis. (April 21, 2026) – Join the Fox Cities Chamber for the final session of the Innovate for Tomorrow: Education & Business Partnership Series, an initiative designed to strengthen connections between schools and businesses while shaping the future of our regional workforce.

The next session, held Monday, May 11 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Miron Construction, will focus on how school districts are building deeper community connections through cohort-based engagement experiences for local stakeholders.

Participants will hear from Mike Slowinski (Kaukauna Area School District) and Heidi Schmidt (Little Chute Area School District) as they share how initiatives like Ghost Academy and LCASD ConnectED are helping community members and business leaders better understand their local school systems and, in turn, become stronger partners and advocates.

Rather than one-off events or transactional partnerships, these programs take a longer-term approach, creating space for learning, relationship-building, and shared ownership of student success.

Attendees will learn:

  • Why these programs were created and the gaps they were designed to address
  • How districts are engaging business and community leaders in meaningful ways
  • What participants and local employers are saying as a result
  • Early outcomes and how these efforts are strengthening trust and collaboration

This session is ideal for principals, superintendents, and business partnerswho want to build more informed, invested communities around their schools.

The program includes a 1-hour presentation followed by 30 minutes of Q&A and networking. Following the program, there is an optional opportunity to tour Miron Construction.

This program is an initiative of the Fox Cities Chamber’s Emerging Talent Alliance: Education Taskforce.
