Madison International Trade Association: Board of directors, administrative director receives NASBITE’s award for Advancing International Trade (AIT)

Madison, WI – We are proud to honor Ana Garic, Administrative Director of the Madison International Trade Association (MITA), as a recipient of the 2026 Advancing International Trade (AIT) award from NASBITE International at the 2026 Annual Training Forum held at the Marriott St. Louis Grand in St. Louis, Missouri on March 30th to April 1st.

Garic’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and execution has strengthened MITA’s mission and expanded our presence. From strategic programming and partnerships to fostering meaningful global connections, her leadership continues to advance Wisconsin’s role in international trade. This achievement reflects the dedication and collaborative spirit that drive MITA’s success.

Garic was nominated for the award by NASBITE board member Aleda Bourassa, who also serves on the MITA Board of Directors and is the President of ExportAble LLC (formerly of WCTC-Waukesha County Technical College) as well as a Wisconsin DEC member.

The NASBITE International AIT award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated sustained commitment to advancing international trade over four or more years. The NASBITE International AIT award recipients are individuals or trade offices at the State and Federal levels, educators at institutions of higher education, exporters and service providers. Ana plays a critical role in MITA’s success, helping deliver 9–12 major global trade programs annually and supporting a growing statewide presence.
