Metropolitan Builders Association: Susan Keel named president

Sussex, Wis. – Susan Keel, Business Development Manager at Advanced Communication Specialists, has been named President of the Metro Builders Association for 2026.

“Being asked to lead the MBA is a tremendous honor, one I enthusiastically embrace.” Keel said. “The breadth of knowledge, experience and integrity across the organization is inspiring. I look forward to supporting our members in every way possible, expanding partnerships with the association’s trade professionals, advocating for women in construction, and encouraging the next generation to pursue careers in the building trades.” 

Keel brings three decades of involvement with the MBA to her new role leading the organization. She is a longstanding participant on the Membership Committee and has achieved “Life Spike” status with over 525 Spike Credits – a membership recognition through the National Association of Home Builders.

Keel was inducted into the MBA’s Hall of Fame in 2016, recognizing her outstanding leadership and dedication to the home building industry. “Susan Keel is a passionate advocate for the Metropolitan Builders Association,” the honor stated. “As a leader, she helps members connect and grow their networks and their businesses.”

She served as the Associate Advisory Board Chair in 2006 and Membership Committee Chair for more than 10 years. She received many awards including Associate of the Year in 2010, Associate Salesperson of the Year in 2006, 2007 and 2009, and the Sales & Marketing Council Industry Achievement Award in 2008.

Keel has served as Business Development Manager at Advanced Communication Specialists since 2005. The Metropolitan Builders Association (MBA) is a not-for-profit trade association representing approximately 700 companies. The MBA serves as a resource for professionals in the construction industry and advocates for the members in all areas of single family and multi-family construction.
