Madison, WI — Burrito lovers will get a chance to help support women living in poverty around the world when they visit Chipotle on State Street on Wednesday, November 4.
Sponsored by UW’s Delta Sigma Pi, Chipolte will donate 25 percent of sales to customers who mention “DSP” or Delta Sigma Pi at checkout. The professional development fraternity has been a supporter of WorldWise through its “Polar Plunge,” and this special Chipotle event “is an exciting opportunity to give back to the Madison community,” according to Julia van Deventer, DSP Vice President of Community Service.
WorldWise Microfinance makes small loans through in-country partners in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, and Malawi. “We’re grateful for DSP’s continuing partnerships,” said WorldWise board member Paul Ohlrogge, “and we look forward to turning Chipolte customers into members of the global movement for economic development.”
The benefit is Wednesday, November 4, from 5 – 8 pm, at Chipotle, 658 State Street, Madison.
