Madison, WI – WorldWise Microfinance welcomes Brad Paul, a veteran of economic development programs at the local, state, national, and international levels, to its Board of Directors. Paul recently served as director of mission services for Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin, and for seven years, headed Wisconsin Community Action Program Association (WISCAP).
Brad Paul currently leads Cashew Commonwealth, a program to link Wisconsin enterprises with cashew growers in The Gambia, Africa’s smallest country. This partnership creates investment opportunities for Madison-area leaders, and opens Wisconsin markets to Gambian growers.
Paul says: “Joining the board of WorldWise is so gratifying because I believe so strongly in the cause and approach. Regardless of geography, when people with talent and imagination have access to capital, communities change. WorldWise is global in its reach, and is guided by local solutions to poverty, spotlighting a vision we might all embrace.”
WorldWise Microfinance founder and president Tom Eggert, a former UW professor, said “We are delighted to welcome Brad to the board. His deep experience with non-profits and his experience overseas brings a perspective that helps prepares the organization for our continuing growth and development.”
Brad Paul joins a Board with several area leaders in business, finance, and public health. Board members (like Paul) have extensive overseas experience in development, as Peace Corps members, etc..
