Urban Triage: Launches “Less Noise,” a full-spectrum hemp wellness brand advancing healing, economic power, and community ownership

Wisconsin-grown products fuel Black agriculture, entrepreneurship, and community-driven sustainability

MADISON, Wis. (April 20, 2026) — On April 20, Madison-based nonprofit Urban Triage launched Less Noise, a full-spectrum organic hemp and CBD wellness brand rooted in healing, economic empowerment, and community ownership.

Less Noise is not just a product line—it is a declaration.

Born from the belief that communities deserve to sustain themselves, Less Noise transforms Wisconsin-grown hemp into wellness products—including balms, pre-rolls, and gummies—while reinvesting every purchase back into the people and programs that made it possible.

Products are developed in partnership with Stacks Family Farms, a La Crosse-based hemp farm and processor, and are supplemented with hemp cultivated at the Farley Center by participants in Urban Triage’s Hemp Specialty Crop Program for Entrepreneurs.

This 12-week immersive program equips participants with hands-on agricultural training, business development skills, and startup support—turning knowledge into ownership, and ownership into generational opportunity.

Less Noise emerges at a time when critical funding for community-based agriculture and Black-led initiatives is shrinking.

Urban Triage chose a different path.

“We are not waiting to be saved. We are building what we need,” said Brandi Grayson, Founder and CEO of Urban Triage. “Less Noise is about reclaiming power—economic power, cultural power, and the power to define our own future. This is what it looks like when community becomes the system.”

Every purchase directly funds Urban Triage’s agriculture initiatives in Madison, Wisconsin — building economic independence for vulnerable farmers and community members through hemp cultivation and training. Your wellness purchase grows something real.

Produce grown through these programs is distributed free to local residents, ensuring that healing and nourishment move together.

“This work is about more than access—it’s about restoration,” Grayson said. “We are rebuilding relationships—to land, to self, and to each other. We are creating pathways where survival is no longer the goal—thriving is.”

The April 20 launch date is intentional.

“We are reclaiming 4/20—not as a stereotype, but as a symbol of healing, pride, and possibility,” Grayson added. “Hemp has lived at the intersection of harm and liberation in Black communities. We are choosing liberation. Every product represents that choice. Every purchase fuels that future.”

At a time when Black entrepreneurs represent less than 2% of the hemp and cannabis industry nationwide, Less Noise stands as both resistance and blueprint—a model for how Black-led organizations can build sustainable, community-rooted economies that do not rely on shifting systems for survival.

All Less Noise products are lab-tested, compliant with Wisconsin and federal regulations, and produced with a commitment to quality, transparency, and impact.it
