Johnson’s One Stop owners Artie & Debbie Johnson will be recognized during SBA National Small Business Week May 3-9, 2026
MILWAUKEE – Artie & Debbie Johnson, president & CEO of the Western Wisconsin-based Johnson’s One Stop is the winner of a prestigious SBA National Small Business Week Award – SBA Wisconsin Small Business Person of the Year.
“It is my privilege to recognize Artie and Debbie Johnson as this year’s SBA Wisconsin Small Business Person of the Year,” said District Director Frank Demarest. “Artie and Debbie exemplify the spirit of entrepreneurship. They listen to their community and solve their pain points by leveraging SBA resources to build out the service or the product their customers need.”
Johnson’s One Stop started life as a one-room general store in 1937. Today, it offers a truly a one-stop experience – where you can find everything from a full service grocery, building, farm, and feed supplies, paint, hardware, power tools, and even their own clothing brand called Driftless Apparel.
“We’re honored to receive the Small Business Person of the Year award.” said Artie Johnson. “This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our family, our team, and the support we’ve received from the SBA, their resource partners, and community. Together, we’re building a stronger, more resilient business and region.”
The Johnson’s are currently competing to win SBA’s Small Business Person of the Year national title. That award will be announced by SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler during ceremonies in Washington D.C. May 4th.

NSBW 2026 features events across the country amplifying small business success and connecting entrepreneurs with resources, training, and opportunities to start, grow, and succeed in achieving their American dream of small business ownership.
Following SBA’s Washington D.C. National Awards Ceremony on May 3rd, the agency will host a Virtual Summit May 5-6. Administrator Loeffler will also embark on an NSBW roadshow with stops around the country – including a stop in Wisconsin – to highlight exceptional job creators and economy builders.
