DE PERE, WI, July 10, 2026 — Tweet Garot Mechanical will celebrate the graduation of its third class of Heavy Metal Summer Experience (HMSE) participants on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the company’s corporate office in De Pere. This year’s class includes 19 area high school students and recent graduates who completed the free, 30-hour program introducing them to union career opportunities in the building trades.

Students trained at Tweet Garot’s Wrightstown fabrication facility and in local union training centers, gaining hands-on experience in sheet metal, piping, plumbing, and electrical work. With guidance from Sheet Metal Workers Local 18 and Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 400, students built a duct box project, a sheet metal star decoration, a rocket stove, and a welded initial sign, on display at the graduation celebration.
The program continues to translate into real career opportunities: Tweet Garot now employs six former HMSE participants from its first two camps in sheet metal, pipefitting, and service trades roles.
