Mr. Vanderloo To Speak About Effective Strategies Wisconsin Businesses Can Employ To Manage Tariffs, Energy Shortages, And Other Global Trade Challenges
MILWAUKEE, WI – James Vanderloo, Head of OEC Group’s Milwaukee branch, has been invited by the Madison International Trade Association (MITA) to speak on a logistics panel for Wisconsin World Trade Day. The event is scheduled to take place on May 19, 2026.
Mr. Vanderloo was asked to participate because of his comprehensive knowledge of global trade. The Organization believes he can offer a unique perspective about the logistics industry to Wisconsin businesses. During the panel Mr. Vanderloo will offer strategies all businesses in the state can employ to manage the effects tariffs, energy shortages, and other industry challenges that state businesses are currently enduring.

During the panel, Mr. Vanderloo will provide practical insight into critical areas of global trade, including export and import controls and licensing, documentation requirements, INCOTERMS, cargo insurance, and overall shipping strategy. He will also address key compliance considerations such as labeling and packaging, compliance liability, AES filing and audit readiness, internal controls, and navigating sanctions and denied parties.
The MITA event will also feature other organizations such as Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), Trade Acceptance Group, Ltd. (TAG), US Commercial Service (USCS) Milwaukee, WCTC School of Business, Gamber Johnson LLC, Platinum Cargo Logistics, Amundsen Davis LLC, and LR International who will be discussing other facets of logistics and trade to share expertise and best practices for navigating international commerce.
