BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank announced today it has completed its acquisition of 1895 Bancorp of Wisconsin, Inc. and its subsidiary, PyraMax Bank, FSB. The combination brings together two community-focused institutions with a common commitment to relationship-based banking, local decision-making, and the long-term success of the people and places they serve.
Founded in 1923, North Shore Bank has served Wisconsin for more than a century by providing personal attention and trusted financial guidance to individuals, businesses, and neighborhoods.
The acquisition expands North Shore Bank’s presence in Franklin, Grafton, Greenfield, Mukwonago, South Milwaukee, and Waukesha.
“This combination creates meaningful benefits for customers of both organizations and expands North Shore Bank’s presence across eastern Wisconsin,” said Jay McKenna, president and CEO of North Shore Bank. “By bringing together complementary strengths and a common approach to community banking, we can create new opportunities for the people, businesses, and neighborhoods we serve. As we move forward, our focus remains unchanged: providing personal attention, local expertise, and practical financial guidance that helps our customers achieve their goals.”
PyraMax Bank will operate under the North Shore Bank brand after all systems, signage and branding are transitioned, which is expected to occur in early 2027. Until then, PyraMax Bank customers may continue banking as usual at their existing branches. Customers will receive additional information in the coming months to help them prepare.
