[Fitchburg, Wisconsin] – Madison Area Builders Association (MABA) has been recognized with two (2) Association Excellence Awards from the Executive Officers Council (EOC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for its outstanding efforts in creating local data and collateral to assist municipalities understand the local costs associated with housing. In a time when housing affordability and availability is at a critical stage, local data and partnerships are more reliable than focusing on information from a national or even regional lens.
“It is an incredible honor for MABA to be recognized at the national level for the work we are doing on behalf of our members and our community,” said Chad Lawler. “Our staff, leadership and volunteers work hard every day to advocate for housing, support our members and strengthen the residential building industry. We are proud to receive these awards and grateful for the continued support of our members who make this work possible.”
MABA was recognized for its strong local government affairs efforts. Through member engagement, municipal outreach, policy education and advocacy, MABA continues to elevate the importance of creating a more predictable and attainable housing environment throughout the Madison area.
The Association Excellence Awards are an annual program designed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of state and local home builders’ associations and executive officers in the field of association management. EOC membership consists of the staff executives who direct more than 650 NAHB-affiliated state and local home builders’ associations representing more than 140,000 home builders in communities across the United States.
