Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation, Volare Hangars, Winnebago County, City of Oshkosh: Announce Oshkosh Aviation Park Development at Wittman Regional Airport

June 19, 2026, OSHKOSH, WI – Volare Hangars, Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation (GOEDC), Winnebago County, and the City of Oshkosh are pleased to announce a proposed development at the Oshkosh Aviation Park that will bring premium mixed-use aircraft storage and aviation-focused business to the 80-acre site under the name Volare Hangars at Oshkosh.

The proposed project includes the phased development of the entire Oshkosh Aviation Park, furthering a vision that the City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, and GOEDC have worked toward for more than a decade. Together, these organizations have invested in planning, infrastructure, branding, and marketing efforts to attract aviation-related businesses and users to the park.

Volare’s conceptual site plan includes eight buildings designed to serve aviation businesses, corporate aircraft operators, and private aircraft owners, featuring aviation business space, corporate and business hangars, midsize and personal hangars, a fuel farm, and a wash bay. Adjacent City owned property will provide complimentary aviation themed mixed-use development. The project is intended to expand the Wittman Regional Airport aviation community and create a destination for pilots to “Live, Work, Play, Fly”, a Volare motto, in Oshkosh year-round, with the final site plan adapting to market demand throughout the development process.

The development aligns with the goals established for the Oshkosh Aviation Park by attracting investment, expanding the tax base, and increasing general aviation and business activity. A full public announcement and details of the project is anticipated during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026. More information about the development will be published on Volare’s website around that time.
