Win earns trip to San Francisco to pitch Silicon Valley investment firms this fall
MADISON – On Tuesday, CellTrack, a Madison-based biotechnology startup, was selected as the winner of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s 13th annual Pressure Chamber pitch event. The winner was determined by a combination of national investor-judge scoring and a live audience vote at The Sylvee.
As Pressure Chamber champion, CellTrack receives the “golden suitcase,” representing a reserved spot in the Chamber’s exclusive Greater Madison startup meetings with top Silicon Valley investment firms this October. The other Pressure Chamber finalists were FUDI Protein, CuroNow and Service ID.
CellTrack’s technology enables non-invasive imaging of cell therapies with 100 times greater sensitivity than existing methods, cutting development time and cost in half. This will help cell therapies reach 10 times more patients and has major implications for the next generation of treatment of solid tumors.
“CellTrack exemplifies what the Pressure Chamber initiative has always been about — showcasing cutting-edge technology that solves global challenges and is rooted in our region’s world-class research and innovation ecosystem,” said Chamber President Zach Brandon. “We congratulate all of this year’s finalists, who represent the full diversity of innovation that exists in Greater Madison. We are proud to offer our region’s startups a platform to tell their stories here and in Silicon Valley.”
“It’s a great honor to be recognized among the other incredible finalists as this year’s Pressure Chamber winner,” said CellTrack Founder and CEO Dr. Victor Santoro Fernandes. “We are excited to leverage this momentum to grow our business and promote Greater Madison’s entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Bay Area this fall.”
Representatives from CellTrack are available for an interview upon request.
Pressure Chamber is presented by the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce and Michael Best with support from State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, UW–Madison Office of Business Engagement, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Associated Bank, Fetch, Madison College Center for Entrepreneurship, JP Cullen, The Gialamas Company, FPC Live, HealthX Ventures, Idea Fund, Mastercraft Ventures, Rock River Capital Partners, Valency Fund, Winnow Fund and Wisconsin Investment Partners.
