GO Transit: Launches TripShot app, upgrading the digital rider experience

New app brings real-time bus tracking, live detours and trip planning to Oshkosh riders

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Sept. 14, 2026) — GO Transit, the public transportation service in the Greater Oshkosh area, announces the launch of TripShot, a new mobile app that replaces its existing GO Transit app. This new app significantly enhances riders’ experience with GO Transit.

TripShot gives riders access to a suite of real-time tools designed to make navigating the Greater Oshkosh area easier than ever. Key features include live detour visibility, real-time bus tracking and trip planning.

“We’re always looking for ways to make riding GO Transit simpler and more reliable for everyone in our community,” said Steve Tomasik, transit operations manager at GO Transit. “TripShot gives riders real-time information right in the palm of their hand. Whether they’re tracking their bus, checking for detours or planning a trip it’s all easily accessible on your device. That kind of transparency and convenience makes a real difference, and we’re proud to bring that to our riders.”

With the launch of the TripShot app, GO Transit riders have access to two dedicated apps for bus services: TripShot and WisGo, powered by Umo. Together, the two platforms are designed to provide comprehensive digital support for riders of the buses in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The launch of TripShot reflects GO Transit’s ongoing commitment to modernizing its services and meeting the evolving needs of its ridership. By investing in real-time digital tools, GO Transit aims to reduce uncertainty for riders, improve on-time performance visibility and encourage greater use of public transit throughout the region.
