Encare: Receives Swecare Export Award 2026 for international growth and global reach

The award was presented by Sweden’s Minister for Social Affairs, Jakob Forssmed, at a ceremony in Stockholm. The Swecare Export Award, a Swedish national export award, recognises Swedish life science companies that successfully combine innovation, international reach and a sustainable export business within healthcare.

In its statement, the jury emphasizes Encare’s ability to build a scalable and sustainable business model with growing export revenues, and how the company enhances credibility and market traction in key markets – not the least in the United States.

Encare is the sole commercial partner of the global ERAS® Society and delivers the ERAS® Interactive Audit System (EIAS) and the ERAS® Implementation Program (EIP) to more than 137 hospitals in over 30 countries. The solution helps hospitals measure and improve adherence to evidence-based surgical care pathways, which studies have shown to lead to fewer complications, shorter hospital stays and significant cost savings per patient. It also improves resource utilisation and strengthens healthcare capacity, for example by helping to reduce waiting lists.

“This is an important recognition for the entire team and for Swedish life science. We have built Encare over many years in close collaboration with the ERAS® Society, and this award shows that our work is now making an impact where it matters most – among hospitals and healthcare systems facing capacity constraints, waiting lists and rising costs. The fact that the jury specifically highlights our US reference customers and our business model is a strong external validation of the direction we have chosen,” says Rasmus Waller, CEO of Encare.
