After 35 years in the Chamber industry, including the past 9 years as President/CEO of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce, David Minor has announced his retirement.
Minor shared his decision with the Chamber’s Board of Directors and staff, reflecting on a career devoted to supporting businesses, strengthening communities, and helping lead organizations through both opportunity and challenge. During his tenure in Eau Claire, the Chamber has continued to expand its role as a champion for business, a convener of leaders, and a catalyst for regional progress. His leadership helped guide the organization and community through significant moments, including the COVID-19 pandemic, major economic shifts, and the HSHS/Prevea closures.
“It has been one of the great honors of my life to serve the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce and this community,” said Minor. “I am deeply grateful for the trust, support, and friendships that have made this work so meaningful over the years. While this decision is bittersweet, I have great confidence in the future of the Chamber and the region we serve.”
The Chamber’s Board of Directors has engaged Wipfli to assist with the search for the organization’s next President/CEO. Promotion of the position will begin on Monday, May 15.
Minor has agreed to remain in his role during the transition period and will work closely with the Executive Committee and Board to help ensure a smooth and timely transition.

The Chamber is well positioned for the future, and we are confident this process will help identify a strong leader for the next chapter.”
