Bone & Joint: Rib Mountain Surgery Center recognized as Best Ambulatory Surgery Center in the United States

Bone & Joint included in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-2026 Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for orthopedics and spine

WAUSAU, Wis. (April 21, 2026) — Bone & Joint Clinic, S.C. (Bone & Joint), Central Wisconsin’s leading independent provider of comprehensive musculoskeletal services, is proud to announce that its Rib Mountain Surgery Center has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for orthopedics and spine in the United States. The debut ratings of outpatient surgical centers offer consumers a vetted, data-informed resource for those seeking outpatient surgical care. Bone & Joint Rib Mountain is one of six ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) for orthopedics and spine in Wisconsin to receive this recognition.

“We are incredibly proud to receive this national recognition. It reflects the hard work, compassion and expertise our team brings to the surgery center every day,” said Brent Turner, CEO of Bone & Joint. “Providing safe, patient-centered care is our top priority. Knowing that our community has access to some of the best orthopedic and spine care in the country without having to travel far motivates us to continue giving our patients the best possible outcomes.”

U.S. News awards the designation of “Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers” only to those surgical centers that satisfy U.S. News’ statistical assessment of performance. Only the highest-rated surgery centers earned a “Best” rating. U.S. News & World Report rated nearly 5,000 surgery centers across the U.S. on several criteria, including the number of procedures performed, length of stay, level of complications, post-procedure ER visits and hospital admissions and patient outcomes. Of the 1,556 ambulatory surgery centers for orthopedics and spine rated by U.S. News, only 15% are rated as high performing.
