Blackhawk Technical College: Golden Brick Awards honor excellence on June 9

JANESVILLE, Wis. — Hard work, perseverance and grit get noticed. Blackhawk Technical College’s Fifth Annual Golden Brick Awards on Tuesday, June 9, will celebrate community members, industry partners, alumni, faculty and staff who have reached higher in pursuit of excellence. 

Award winners include:

  • Community Partnership Award: Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation
  • Philanthropic Award: Scot Forge
  • K-12 Partner of the Year: Brodhead High School
  • Distinguished Alumnus of the Year: Joshua Pickering’10, General Manager and Chef at Genisa Wine Bar and Jack & Jenny’s
  • Faculty Member of the Year: Mitch Ziolkowski, Criminal Justice Instructor
  • Staff Member of the Year: Elisa Colson, Student Engagement Specialist
