MADISON, Wis. — Be Inspired Salon, a premier name in the Greater Madison beauty and wellness community for nearly 16 years, has announced a significant transition in its leadership. Founder Kati Whitledge is officially retiring from salon ownership, passing the torch to local entrepreneur and master stylist Hannah Schatschneider.
The acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for the brand’s two Madison locations, transitioning from a decade of successful off-site leadership under Whitledge to a deeply collaborative, hands-on operational model led by Schatschneider.
Whitledge founded Be Inspired Salon with a vision to empower stylists and elevate the guest experience. Over the last ten years, she successfully steered the business from behind the scenes, allowing the salon to scale to multiple locations and solidify its reputation. Now, as the beauty industry evolves, the salon is returning to its roots with an on-site owner dedicated to daily, face-to-face mentorship.
Hannah Schatschneider, an alumna of the prestigious Aveda Institute, brings a robust background in both technical artistry and business management to her new role. She began her career at a prominent commission salon in Sun Prairie, where she built a loyal clientele, earned a specialized certification in Invisible Bead Extensions (IBE), and served as a lead mentor for incoming talent. Most recently, Schatschneider successfully owned and operated an independent salon suite in nearby Waunakee.
“While building my independent business was incredibly rewarding, I deeply missed the energy, camaraderie, and collective growth of a salon team,” said Schatschneider. “My true passion lies in working right alongside stylists every day, educating, encouraging, and helping them build sustainable, thriving careers. Taking ownership of Be Inspired Salon is the alignment of everything I love about this industry, and I am fully committed to cultivating an environment across our Madison locations where both our team and our guests truly thrive.”
