APPLETON, Wis. (March 12, 2025)— The Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction is excited to announce Fleet Feet® Fox Valley as its new 10K run/walk sponsor. The Fleet Feet 10K Run/Walk is an annual event, which started in 2020, that offers participants an option between the 5K and the half marathon, perfect for those who are not yet ready to tackle 13.1 miles.
“When we learned that the 10K event needed a new sponsor, we jumped on the opportunity to support this local race,” explained Leah Schapiro, co-owner of Fleet Feet Fox Valley. “For several years, Fleet Feet has hosted weekly training runs starting in August to help runners and walkers prepare for race weekend, so putting our name on the 10K event makes perfect sense.”
The Fleet Feet 10K Run/Walk course starts and finishes at Riverside Park in Neenah, Wisconsin, offering scenic views through neighborhoods and trails. The 6.2-mile course has three water stations throughout and shares a start and finish line with the Ascension 5K Run/Walk, which is stroller and dog-friendly.
“We are so excited to have Fleet Feet join our incredible group of supporting sponsors,” explained Fox Cities Marathon race director Julie Johnson. “This entire weekend of events is possible because of so much community support. Fleet Feet has supported our local running community with this event by helping so many participants prepare for race day and learn to love distance events for years, but now they are taking center stage by sponsoring the 10K, which is one of our most anticipated distance events.”
