Madison, Wis. – Civic Media is pleased to announce the launching of the “Wisconsin Forward” podcast, hosted by Matt Rothschild, a serial podcast diving into the past, present, and future of Wisconsin politics.
“I hope the podcast will give listeners an up close and personal understanding of our current politics, how we got here, and where we’re headed,” says Rothschild, the former editor and publisher of The Progressive and the former executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign. He also is the author of 12 Ways to Save Democracy in Wisconsin.
“We’re delighted to have Matt on board doing this podcast,” says Sage Weil, Civic Media CEO. “He brings a breadth and depth of knowledge about Wisconsin politics, and he offers a friendly and familiar voice as he interviews his guests.”
The first episode, “The Riddle of Wisconsin,” will launch today.
The second episode, “The Presidential Race Here in Wisconsin,” will be up on Friday. Next week, “How the Fight for Fair Maps Changed Wisconsin” will be up on Tuesday. “I’m thrilled to be working for Civic Media, which plays a new and vital role in the Wisconsin media landscape,” says Rothschild, who is a guest host occasionally on the radio network.
CIVIC MEDIA is a new radio and digital media venture with 20 radio stations across Wisconsin in 12 distinct media markets, including 12 news/talk stations featuring local and statewide programming and 8 music stations broadcasting adult hits, country, and oldies formats.
