GREEN BAY, WI (Oct. 30, 2023) – TitletownTech, a venture capital firm formed out of a partnership between the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft, has invested in Midwest Games, a regionally focused video game publisher.
TitletownTech led Midwest Games’ $3M round with participation from Tundra Angels, Brightstar Wisconsin, Wisconsin Investment Partners, gaming industry veteran Erin Ashley Simon, and Bay Tek Entertainment owner and CEO, Larry Treankler, known for properties like Skee-Ball. The funds will be used to expand the Midwest Games team, fund and support independent developers, and publish games.
Founded by Wisconsin native Ben Kvalo, who held prior roles at 2K, Blizzard Entertainment, and Netflix, Midwest Games emerged from stealth earlier this year, driven by Kvalo’s vision to empower game developers in the Midwest and amplify the region’s presence in the video game industry. Headquartered in Green Bay, the company has taken residency at TitletownTech.
