De Pere, Wis.: The Green Bay Boy & Girl Choir and St. Norbert College will be partnering beginning with the 2023-24 school year. The Green Bay Boy & Girl Choir will become part of St. Norbert’s youth arts programming starting in August.
“St. Norbert College understands the value of the arts in the development of the whole person, and we are beyond excited to partner with such a great organization,” said Kent Paulsen, artistic director at the college. “Adding the Green Bay Boy & Girl Choir will only enhance the opportunities for youth in our community.”
St. Norbert College is also home to the Youth Orchestra Program, open to students in grade four through age 21, and to Next Stage, a summer musical theatre program for high school students.
“We are so thankful for this opportunity that will only see us grow and be more successful,” said Noah Jenquin, executive director of the Green Bay Boy & Girl Choir.
The Green Bay Boy & Girl Choir is comprised of music performance and education programs emphasizing the development of music skills and understanding. The mission of the organization is to provide quality music instruction with the goal of students attaining the highest level of artistic excellence in choral music performance. The choirs endeavor to enrich the lives of children from all religious, racial, cultural and economic backgrounds. Through music activities and community involvement, the choirs help foster the personal and social growth of the members and promote their sense of self-esteem, accomplishment and pride. The Green Bay Boy & Girl Choir motto is: “Far more than training voices…we are training hearts!”
