Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers: Hosts free Community Health Resource Fair during Norwalk Grand Re-Opening

NORWALK, Wis. (March 2, 2023) – On Tuesday, March 28 from 4- 7 p.m., Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers is holding a free Community Health Resource Fair at its Norwalk, Wisconsin location on 200 West North Street (map). No registration is required, and everyone is invited to attend this walk-in event featuring valuable health and community resources from local organizations, free health screenings and access to COVID-19 vaccines. The event will take place during the Norwalk Grand Reopening, with opportunities to tour the newly renovated Health Center facility.

English and Spanish speakers will be onsite to assist with questions regarding community health resources. Specific features of this healthcare event include:

  • Free health screenings and COVID-19 vaccines and boosters for people 6-months-old and older
  • Resources from local organizations on topics such as food, housing, parenting support, senior resources, volunteer opportunities, and more
  • Healthcare experts from Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers who can provide guidance on health insurance enrollment and changes to Medicaid and the FoodShare programs
  • Health Center tours
  • Light refreshments

“Our goal is to welcome the community to our newly renovated space while connecting them with important organizations and resources that are available in our communities. We also want to provide access to free health screenings and COVID-19 vaccines,” explained Jenny Nottestad, Population Health Specialist at Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers.  “If you have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, it is not too late. Vaccines are still available at no cost to patients, which may change after the Public Health Emergency ends on May 11th.

At the Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers’ Free Community Health Resource Fair, the Pfizer primary series will be available for ages 6 months and older. Pfizer bivalent boosters will also be available for ages 5 years and older. Parents or guardians of the 6 months to 4-year-old age group can call Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers at (608) 654-5100 to schedule a time and place for their child to receive the bivalent booster.
