Quartz: Welcomes new chief financial officer

MADISON, Wis. – Quartz today announced that Jeff Butcher has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Butcher brings with him more than 30 years of experience in health care finance, the past 20 years as a senior executive and chief financial officer for provider partnered health plans.

“I’m excited to be joining the outstanding leadership team at Quartz,” Butcher said. “It’s an honor to be joining a company that truly puts their customers at the center of everything they do. I look forward to helping Quartz grow and continue to deliver on their mission of providing their members access to high-quality, affordable healthcare services.”

Prior to joining the Quartz leadership team, Butcher built an impressive career in the health care industry helping lead health care organizations and health plans manage and expand their operations across multiple states and service lines. His experience includes working with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations including Providence Health Plans, Steward Health Choice, Renown Health, Honor Health and Equality Health. Butcher began his career in Arthur Andersen’s health care audit and advisory practice.

Butcher and his wife Joelle are looking forward to their move to Madison and becoming part of the community.

Jim Hiveley, Quartz’s outgoing Chief Financial Officer, is retiring after a distinguished career, the last 16 years of which were with Quartz. Butcher and the leadership team at Quartz wish Hiveley and his family the very best in his retirement.
