Kettle Moraine Metal Products: To build 75,000 SF manufacturing facility at City of West Bend Manufacturing Center

West Bend, Wis. (March 6, 2023): The City of West Bend Common Council approved a developer’s agreement with GenX Holdings, LLC (DBA Kettle Moraine Metal Products (KMMP)) to purchase 11 acres of land and build a 75,000 SF industrial facility on Forge Place in the West Bend Manufacturing Center. Building construction is estimated to be completed by the end of 2023. As soon as 2025, KMMP anticipates adding an additional 75,000 SF building expansion.

Kimberly and Richard Kiefer are co-owners of KMMP, which offers high-quality CNC machining and turning, fiber laser cutting, metal forming, fabrications, prototyping, tube bending, tooling and engineering services to customers across the country. Since its founding in 2020, KMMP has experienced substantial growth and is a supplier of choice to many Fortune 500 OEM companies.

“This expansion is needed for new and future contracts,” said Vice President Richard Kiefer. “We will also be adding new flatbed fiber lasers, electric press brakes, tube laser, Cobot welders and an automated powder coat line.”

KMMP is a family-owned business. “We take pride in treating each employee like a member of our family,” said CEO Kimberly Kiefer. “We take the time to upskill individuals with no manufacturing experience, work around each employees’ lives and responsibilities to create hours that work best for them, and support them in their continued learning.” KMMP currently has 16 employees and expects to expand to 64 employees by 2025.

The developer’s agreement includes a $50,000 Retention and Relocation Grant from the City of West Bend to KMMP. “This grant and land sale will help KMMP expand and grow right here in the great City of West Bend! We are proud to support this local business and retain them for decades to come,” said Mayor Christopher Jenkins. “Thanks to our city staff team for your work on securing this important project.”

A site plan will be reviewed by the City of West Bend Plan Commission this spring.
