Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce: Announces upcoming business seminars

FOX CITIES, Wis. (Jan. 26, 2023) – The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce has announced its upcoming educational offerings for February.

First up is a program on “Social Media Basics and Understanding TikTok.” Done in collaboration with the Fox Valley Technical College Venture Center, the two-part seminar will be held on February 6th and 13th. Topics covered include:

·        Social media marketing best practices

·        Social media 101 – understanding the platforms and apps

·        Digital advertising

·        TikTok best practices

·        Making a TikTok

·        Growth strategies


Both sessions will be held at the FVTC Venture Center and run from 8 – 9:30 AM. Facilitator is Evan Friemuth, founder, Venture Wisconsin. Cost is $129 for Chamber members and $159 for non-members. Register at Online Survey Software | Qualtrics Survey Solutions

Next the Chamber’s Public Policy Council has scheduled a Supreme Court Justice Forum as part of its Public Policy Series on February 14th. The program is a forum of candidates on the ballot for the State Supreme Court. The event is one week before the Primary Election, so it will be a great time for Chamber members to hear directly from the candidates before casting their vote. The program includes Justice Daniel Kelly, Judge Everett Mitchell, and Judge Janet Protasiewicz (invited).

Later that same week, the Chamber’s PULSE Young Professional group is holding a Lunch ‘n Learn on “Personal Branding across Social Media Platforms.” On February 16th speaker Chris Burns will provide tips for attendees to improve their professional brand on social media. Platforms to be explored include LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and more. Seating is limited.

The program will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Double Tree by Hilton on Nicolet Rd. in Appleton. Cost is $20 for PULSE members and $35 for non-members. Register at 2023 PULSE Lunch ‘n Learn: Personal Branding Across Social Media Platforms – Feb 16, 2023 – Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce.

Finally, the Chamber is launching a Dale Carnegie learning series for members on February 21. The first seminar is “Leadership Skills for Success: Keys to Developing Trust Credibility and Respect.” In this program, participants will learn how to take steps toward converting their negative reactions into positive ones. By understanding what factors cause you or team members stress, you can intentionally work together to create a healthy, stress-free work environment.
