Dept. of Natural Resources: RSG-Norlake joins DNR’s Green Tier Program

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) welcomes RSG-Norlake (Norlake) as a Tier 1 participant of the state’s Green Tier program.

Green Tier is a voluntary program for businesses, local governments and organizations who are already on the path to sustainability and want support achieving even more. Tier 1 of Green Tier encourages, recognizes and rewards companies committed to superior environmental performance.

“The department is excited to begin this new partnership with Norlake,” said Dan Baumann, DNR Secretary’s Director for West-Central Wisconsin. “Norlake is demonstrating their leadership and commitment to doing the right thing for our environment by embarking on this journey with Green Tier. The department looks forward to working with them as they leverage the economic and environmental benefits of their environmental management system.”

Norlake’s facility manufactures quality products that serve a wide range of food service and scientific refrigeration needs. Norlake is driven by an environmental, health and safety policy that is focused on meeting requirements and reducing the impacts on its surroundings. The company will implement an environmental management system which will be used to set goals, assess their progress and identify opportunities for improvement.

“Our Green Tier participation will be a driving force in our ongoing efforts to continuously improve our robust, multi-media environmental management system,” said Ron Mullen, Plant Manager for RSG-Norlake. “We are thankful and honored by the opportunity to join Green Tier and to demonstrate our commitment to environmental excellence.”
