De Pere Cultural Foundation: Mulva Cultural Center adds Community Engagement Director

(De Pere, Wis.)  To kick off the year of the Mulva Cultural Center’s opening, the world-class cultural facility added another important staff member to its leadership team. Thomas Shefchik has been hired as the Managing Director of Community Engagement, overseeing visitor services, business collaborations, marketing and more.

“As our team continues to prepare for our opening this fall, Tom will be an integral member of our team,” said Mulva Cultural Center CEO Mike Van Asten. “Local business leaders and community members will soon be meeting Tom at a number of community events, so I encourage everyone to say hello.”

Shefchik, a graduate of UW-La Crosse, joins the Mulva Cultural Center with 20+ years of non-profit leadership and community engagement experience. Most recently, Shefchik served as the Vice President of Advancement at Bellin College and also spent many years with the American Cancer Society. He lives in De Pere with his wife and three children. In his free time, you can find Tom on the water, knee boarding and tubing, or cheering on the Packers and Badgers.
