CG Schmidt: Jeremy Theis joins CG Schmidt as Managing Director of Healthcare Division

MILWAUKEE, Wis, January 30, 2023 – CG Schmidt welcomes Jeremy Theis as the Managing Director of the firm’s Healthcare Division. In his role, Theis will be responsible for developing growth strategies and driving successful outcomes for the firm’s healthcare clients.


Theis has spent over 20 years in the planning, design and construction industry. Most recently, he was the Director of Planning, Design and Construction for the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). While at MCW, he managed over 30 ongoing education, research and healthcare capital projects. Through this role, Theis partnered with CG Schmidt on the completion and move-in for the Hub for Collaborative Medicine. Prior to MCW, Theis was the Milwaukee County Director of Facilities Management, overseeing and implementing the capital improvement plan for 12 million square feet, including the Milwaukee County Zoo, General Mitchell Airport, Parks Department, Courthouse Facilities and many other key municipal assets.


Before moving to Milwaukee, Theis served for 11 years on active duty in the United States Navy in the Civil Engineers Corps and Seabees. While in the Navy, Theis deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, served as Facilities Engineer to the Office of the Vice President of the United States, served as Aide to the U.S. Navy Chief of Civil Engineers and was appointed to Office in Charge of Construction Ivan to assist with the rebuilding of Naval Air Station Pensacola after Hurricane Ivan. He retired from the Naval Reserves last year. Theis is a recognized real estate planning and development leader, a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin and is active in the Milwaukee community.
