WMC: State’s largest business association endorses Rebecca Kleefisch for Governor

GREEN BAY – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) – the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association, and the state’s largest business association – announced on Monday its endorsement of former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch for Wisconsin Governor.

“Rebecca has proven time and again that she stands with job creators and the hardworking people of Wisconsin,” said WMC President & CEO Kurt R. Bauer. “We need a governor who is going to tackle our state’s economic challenges head on, and she has the plan to do just that.”

In the face of a persistent workforce shortage, increasing inflation and compounding supply chain concerns, Lt. Gov. Kleefisch would focus on getting the state’s economy back on track. WMC’s endorsement highlighted her plans to attract top-tier talent to the state, expand technical training for both students and workers, and break down barriers to bring more people off the sidelines and into the workforce.

“Wisconsin’s business community stands behind Rebecca,” added Bauer. “Her experience and will to fight for every Wisconsinite are exactly what our state needs, and that is why she deserves our vote.”

WMC first announced its endorsement on The Jay Weber Show on NewsTalk 1130WISN in Milwaukee. WMC and Lt. Gov. Kleefisch will also visit a Green Bay manufacturer this afternoon and speak with media about the endorsement.
