WIN Technology: Announces the Imagine Summit to introduce young women to STEM careers

Eau Claire, WI – February 22, 2022

WIN Technology, the Eau Claire, Wisconsin based fiber-optic network and managed information  technology services provider, is pleased to announce the launch of the Imagine Summit, an event  designed to introduce female-identifying students in the Chippewa Valley and surrounding areas to STEM  and STEM-related careers with the long-term goal of increasing diversity in STEM. In this half-day event, to be held at our Eau Claire headquarters May 3, we will engage female students who are interested in  STEM.

The Imagine Summit will include a tour of WIN headquarters, a virtual tour of our data center, a  discussion of career pathways, robotics and coding activities, a cybersecurity session led by Chippewa  Valley Technical College, and a Women in Tech panel.

This event is being sponsored by the WIN Technology Women at WIN committee, a group whose  purpose is to promote inclusion and diversity within the organization and throughout the Chippewa Valley  community by raising awareness and advocating for the promotion of women in STEM.

Additional event sponsors include the Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA10), Chippewa  Valley Technical College, Chippewa Falls FIRST Robotics Team, Perigon, Pablo Center at the  Confluence and the Pablo Center FIRST Robotics Team.

“After several months of preparation and outreach, WIN is very excited to announce the inaugural  Imagine Summit coming to the Chippewa Valley this May. We’ve worked jointly with our local schools,  businesses and higher educational institutions in helping us create a day dedicated to increasing  awareness and interest in STEM with the young ladies within our local communities.” said Matt Yach,  Chief Operations Officer at WIN Technology.
