Milton, WI – A local small business owner was invited to participate in a business leaders event held in our nation’s capital last month. Amanda Stefl, owner and winemaker at Timber Hill Winery in Milton, was invited to attend the Meta Boost Gather in Washington, D.C. with business leaders from around the country May 16-17, 2022. Meta is the parent company of the social media platform Facebook.
Stefl is a member of the Meta’s Boost Leaders Network, which is an online community of small business owners sharing ways in which to succeed. While at Meta Boost Gather, Stefl was able to network with small business owners from across the country. Sessions included experts on time management, shipping and using video to attract new customers.
Stefl, along with four other Wisconsin small business owners, also met with U.S. Senator Ron Johnson as part of the event. Stefl told Johnson about her experience as a business owner and how she has weathered the challenges, and opportunities, presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Stefl also impressed on Johnson the importance of supporting small businesses – including the tools she uses to be successful like social platforms.
