Madison— The Wisconsin Veterans of Foreign Wars is celebrating 100 years of service to veterans at their 2022 state convention at the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee. Festival Foods has partnered with the VFW by sponsoring the 1920’s Gala to be held Thursday, June 9th featuring keynote speaker, Iraq War veteran, Travis Mills with a special appearance by Emmy Award-winning comedian from Wisconsin, Charlie Berens.
“We held our first Convention in Milwaukee 100 years ago and we want to bring the tradition back to its origins,” said VFW State Commander, Cory Geisler. “Skogen’s values align with the VFW in that they have a deep sense of community pride and are dedicated to making positive impacts in the communities they serve.”
Skogen’s IGA began in 1946 in Wisconsin as a family and employee-owned grocer. There are now 39 full-service supermarkets in Wisconsin. The company began operating as Festival Foods in 1990 and has 8,000 employees.
