MARSHFIELD – Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has named Michelle Keffer, Marshfield, as manager of marketing communications.
In her new role, Keffer will oversee the development of marketing campaigns for Security Health Plan, as well as member communication developed by a team of marketing and communication specialists.
Keffer most recently served as the Health Plan’s marketing and communications assistant manager for five years. In that role she oversaw Security’s marketing efforts for the Health Plan’s Medicare and individual and family plan products (IFP). She joined the organization in 2012 as the community relations marketing specialist.
“When I applied for my first position at Security, I knew I wanted to work for a respected organization that was focused on making a positive difference in people’s lives,” Keffer said. “I appreciate that Security is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to making health insurance and access to health care as affordable as possible. We have exemplary customer service and treat our members as if they were our neighbors. I am commited to continuing that member-centric focus in my work.”
Security Health Plan Director of Marketing and Communications Rebecca Normington said Keffer has been integral in improving and creating new processes that streamline the company’s marketing and communications work.
“Michelle is a strategic thinker who looks for ways to improve how we communicate with our members about their health insurance benefits,” Normington said. “She is highly respected and trusted by those she works with, and has an eye on how we can best serve our members, which results in better communication and improved efficiency for the Health Plan.”
Keffer is a native of St. Paul, Minn. She is an alumnus of St. Norbert College, DePere, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications, media and theatre arts, as well as a degree in psychology. She has over 20 years of leadership experience working in the fields of communications and development at several non-profit organization in the Marshfield area.
