RINKA: Opens second office in Fort Lauderdale, continues to evolve nationally

MILWAUKEE – (February 8, 2022) — RINKA, a Milwaukee-based architecture and design firm, has announced it opened a second office location at 613 NW 3rd Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. RINKA’s additional office will better serve its Florida-based clients. Elliot Young, AIA NCARB LEED AP, who is a senior vice president and shareholder with RINKA and has been with the company for more than 11 years, will be leading and managing the office.

“Our team has found that our design approach — which combines highly creative solutions and elevated experiences for users with beautiful, yet functional structures — has fostered deep relationships with amazing clients across the country, especially in highly desirable and competitive markets like South Florida,” said Matt Rinka, Partner. “We’re pleased our work has been received so well both in and outside of the Midwest. We’re continuing to grow our company with clients that are different and visionary, and this step is part of the evolution of our firm becoming a more national company.”

The team at RINKA has been working on projects in Florida for eight years, including recently completing F3 Marina Fort Lauderdale, a first-of-its-kind high-tech dry stack boat mooring facility. While already having made a significant impact on the Florida architectural landscape, RINKA is continuing to work with many other Florida-based companies on various projects.

“The decision to open a Florida RINKA office only strengthens our firm’s national reach as we continue to work on many projects outside of Wisconsin,” said Young.

RINKA also offices out of 756 N. Milwaukee Street in Milwaukee. The Florida office will provide all of the same services as the Milwaukee office. Milwaukee office staff will rotate and work out of the Florida office as needed. There also will be some dedicated staff in the Milwaukee office working on Florida-based projects. “We’re excited to expand our experience with highly successful projects for highly successful clients – backed by a passion for design, performance, and community integration,” said Steve Morales, RINKA partner. “The firm continues to connect inspiring designs with functional and cost-effective solutions that enhance the built environment.”

RINKA was established in 2006 and in 16 years has steadily grown to its current size of approximately 50 design professionals. Having received more than 80 industry design excellence awards, RINKA has evolved into a multi-disciplinary architectural and design collective with broadened firm leadership. RINKA has designed projects both locally as well as nationally, such as the Milwaukee Bucks Deer District; The Couture in Milwaukee; River 1 Development in Milwaukee; The Pier in Tempe, Arizona; and F3 Marina – Fort Lauderdale.
