Oscar Rennebohm Foundation: Steven Skolaski to retire as president; Jenni Jeffress named incoming president

MADISON, Wis. (Sept. 2, 2022) – Steven Skolaski will retire as President of the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation effective December 31, 2022. Jenni Jeffress will assume the President position effective January 1, 2023. Steven has been President of the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation since 1987 and will remain on the foundation’s Board of Directors.

“We are grateful to Steve for his many years of service to the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation. Steve brings a passion and unique style that has served our community well,” said Gary Wolter, chair of the Search Committee for the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation.

“I have been honored to be part of the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation and know that Jenni Jeffress will contribute to the discussion and analysis that has earned us a reputation for thorough, thoughtful and successful investment in programs and most importantly, in people,” said Skolaski. Jeffress brings nearly 30 years of service to the role and spent the past 12 years providing strategic direction as executive director of Madison Public Library Foundation.

“We’re excited about Jenni bringing her experience and talent to the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation. We look forward to her ideas and leadership in addressing the challenges of the future,” said Wolter.

“I’m proud to have raised funds for Madison’s libraries for the past 12 years, supporting three new buildings and working with library staff to introduce transformative programming such as The Bubbler, Wisconsin Book Festival and Dream Bus,” Jeffress said. “Now is a great time for me to start a new chapter, supporting Dane County through the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation’s philanthropic efforts. Steve Skolaski and the foundation board have created tremendous community impact, and I’m excited to be part of the next generation making a difference.”
