Northwest Petroleum Service, Inc.: M&M purchase of Northwest Petroleum Services Inc.

Northwest Petroleum Service, INC., (“NPS”), a locally owned and operated petroleum equipment installation and repair business serving Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for nearly 50 years, has entered into an agreement for the sale of Northwest Petroleum Service to M&M Mid-Valley Service and Supply, headquartered in Covington, Kentucky.  The closing date is June 22, 2022.

The sale includes complete purchase of NPS and its assets.  Current NPS employees will transition to M&M Mid-Valley Service and Supply and remain in their current roles.

Tom and Bette Nieuwenhuis founded NPS 50 years ago with a focus on delivering exceptional service to clients across Wisconsin and Michigan.  The tradition of service continued with NPS current sibling owners, Jay Nieuwenhuis and Jeny Nieuwenhuis-Hardel.  Similarly, M&M Mid-Valley Service and Supply, founded by Martin and Cathy Meyer in 1989, is now owned and operated by their children, Mickey Meyer and Sherrie Keller.

Jay Nieuwenhuis, commented, “M&M Mid-Valley Service and Supply owners are long-term friends of our family.  Mickey and Sherrie are the perfect leaders to carry on our longstanding tradition of servicing our clients.  Our family is confident Mickey and Sherrie, and their talented team, will continue to carry the torch of greatness for clients and employees.”

The Nieuwenhuis family will continue to own and operate REI Engineering a locally [Wausau, WI] owned civil engineering, land planning, surveying, environmental, and regulatory compliance consulting firm.

M&M Mid-Valley Service and Supply serves clients in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and parts of Tennessee. An acquisition in 2001 enabled M&M to be a highly competitive distributor of petroleum products.
