NEW Manufacturing Alliance: Releases 2022 All Stars Magazine

Twelve award winners share their stories.

Green Bay, WI. January 18 2022 – The Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Manufacturing Alliance is pleased to announce the release of the 2022 All Stars Magazine. The All Stars annual career magazine features local manufacturing employees nominated by Alliance member companies. There are also two All Star Mentor award winners that are outstanding examples of employees who strengthen their workforce or provide outreach to schools or the community. The magazine’s online version also includes hyperlinks to three-minute videos highlighting each award winner.

Manufacturing offers prominent careers, and the NEW Manufacturing Alliance All Stars have been promoting that since the first issue in 2009. More than 250,000 magazines have reached the hands of students in Northeast Wisconsin high schools and technical colleges, as well as their instructors and manufacturing leaders. Over the last thirteen years, over 160 manufacturing employees have been spotlighted in the publication. Eleven out of the past fourteen All Stars winners featured on the magazine cover are still working for the same company.

The 2022 All Stars Magazine cover features Jenniffer, an aluminum fabricator at Fincantieri Ace Marine in Green Bay. “Jenniffer demonstrates leadership by sharing her knowledge and experience, as well as being a strong team player who listens to everyone,” stated Bill, Production Manager and nominator. “Each day, she comes to work and demonstrates the characteristics that make her an excellent All Star.”

All Star Award winner Kati, a customer operations analyst at Valley Packaging Industries, Inc., in Appleton encourages others to enter the manufacturing industry. “There are so many opportunities for growth and business skills development in manufacturing. Some companies like VPI will even provide financial support for employees to take classes relating to aspects of the business.”

Machine shop manager, Andy, at EMT International in Hobart is an All Star. He would like to change miss perceptions about manufacturing careers. “People think you walk into a dirty, oily, cruddy building when in reality, it is a clean environment. Another myth is that a two-year degree is not as good as a four year. I know many four-year people who are struggling because they are not doing what makes them happy and satisfied.”
