National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum: First Allen Lazard bobblehead unveiled

MILWAUKEE – This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, in conjunction with BobblesGalore and Allen Lazard unveiled a limited edition Allen Lazard bobblehead featuring the Green Bay Packers wide receiver. This marks the first bobblehead of Lazard, who is the Packers’ top receiver this season.

The limited-edition bobbleheads of Lazard, which are individually numbered to only 500, just arrived and ship now. The bobbleheads can be purchased online from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum and BobblesGalore as well as at the Museum, which is located at 170 South 1st Street in Milwaukee. The bobbleheads are $50 each. There is an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.

Wearing a green No. 13 jersey with gold pants, the smiling Lazard bobblehead is holding a football and standing on a rectangular, turf-like base with two lizard bobbleheads–one green, one gold–at his feet. One of Lazard’s nicknames is “Alien Lizard” because auto correct settings on most cell phones changed “Allen Lazard” to “alien lizard” and the name stuck on social media.

A highly rated four-star recruit out of Urbandale High School in Iowa, the 6-foot-5 Lazard followed in the footsteps of his father and brother in choosing to play for Iowa State. He chose the Cyclones over Notre Dame, Nebraska, Stanford, California, and Iowa. Lazard, a two-time first-team All-Big 12 Conference selection, is Iowa State’s all-time leader in receptions (241) and receiving yards (3,360). He also scored 26 touchdowns, including a school-record 10 as a senior. Undrafted out of college, Lazard signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent prior to the 2018 season. In December of that season, he was signed by the Packers off the Jaguars’ practice squad and caught his first NFL pass in a late-season game. In three full seasons with the Packers, Lazard has 108 receptions for 1,441 yards and 14 TDs. He recorded career highs in receptions (40), yards (513) and TDs (8) in 2021. After All-Pro Davante Adams signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in the off-season, Lazard took over the Packers’ No. 1 wide receiver role going into the 2022 season.

The bobbleheads feature BobblesGalore’s unique Augmented Reality (AR) experience that enables fans to interact with and make the bobblehead come alive by using the “AR Bobbles” app. The AR features can be activated by downloading AR Bobbles, an augmented reality app that is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. By scanning the bobblehead with the app, the player’s statistics, video highlights, a shot chart, and an active news feed appear. AR Bobbles is a unique app that transforms formerly inanimate bobbleheads into something alive and interactive. It is poised to revolutionize the world of bobbleheads and has been exclusively developed by BobblesGalore. AR Bobbles can be adapted for any bobblehead and for use by professional sports teams.

“BobblesGalore is thrilled to partner with Allen Lazard for his first bobblehead,” said President Isaac Lakritz. “We are pleased to continue our tradition of offering creative bobbleheads for collectors and fans.”

“We are excited to team up with BobblesGalore and Allan Lazard for this unique bobblehead,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “We think fans are really going to enjoy this new bobblehead!”
