Multicultural Coalition, Inc.: Offers bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccines for those 12 and up in time for holiday gatherings

NEENAH, Wis. (Dec. 9, 2022) – On Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 3 – 6 p.m., Multicultural Coalition, Inc. (MCI) will hold a free COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccination event for those 12-years-old and over who have received their primary COVID-19 vaccination series at the Neenah Public Library, located at 240 E. Wisconsin Ave. (map). 

“Community infections of the Flu and RSV are higher than ever this year which means it’s important to get COVID-19 booster shots to help keep COVID-19 infections down,” explained Patricia Sarvela, chief development officer at Partnership Community Health Center. “With the holidays and gatherings of family and friends on the horizon, now is the best time to get boosted against COVID-19 and protect the ones you love this holiday season.”

The community-led holiday vaccination event celebration will feature:

  • Snacks
  • Mexican hot cocoa
  • Free winter gear for children
  • Community resources
  • Free COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Interpreters on site
  • Teddy bears 
  • Books

MCI’s clinic will feature the Pfizer bivalent COVID-19 booster shots for anyone looking to get protected. The vaccination clinic is free and open to walk-ins. No pre-registration, identification or health insurance is required to receive a vaccination. Bivalent booster vaccines are available for those 12-years-old and up who have completed their primary vaccination series.
