Milwaukee International Airport: Southwest restores nonstop flights to Kansas City and adds more frequency to existing destinations

MILWAUKEE (December 15, 2022) – Southwest Airlines has announced that it will
restore nonstop service between Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and
Kansas City International Airport (MCI) next summer. The service will begin July 11,
2023 and will be offered on a year-round basis every day of the week except Saturdays.
“Kansas City is a market that was flown nonstop by Southwest for many years, but it
was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said County Executive David Crowley.
“This is an important destination that serves both business and leisure travelers. It’s
great that Southwest has decided to restore this route from our world-class airport.”


Milwaukee to Kansas City Departure: 12:50 PM Arrival: 2:15 PM
Kansas City to Milwaukee Departure: 3:10 PM Arrival: 4:40 PM

Southwest also announced that it will fly additional daily flight frequencies between
Milwaukee and four other existing nonstop destinations: Atlanta, Baltimore, Denver, and
Las Vegas. Additional weekend flights will also be offered to Dallas-Love, Nashville, St.
Louis, and Washington D.C. The new schedule also gives Milwaukee travelers access
to easy one-stop connections to four destinations in Hawaii.

All of the new flights will begin with the July 11, 2023 schedule and are available for
purchase now at southwest.com or the Southwest mobile app.
Kansas City is the 16

th destination Southwest will serve from MKE. Southwest also
offers nonstop service to Atlanta, Baltimore, Cancun, Dallas, Denver, Fort Lauderdale,
Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, Sarasota, St. Louis, Tampa, and
Washington DC.
