Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria: Welcomes school teams and clubs to schedule special fundraising events

MILWAUKEE, WI – Sept 8, 2022 – Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria announced today they are on track to exceed the $50,000 mark in community support and donations between 2021 and 2022. Best known for their famous deep dish, in the two and a half years they’ve been serving the Milwaukee community the iconic Chicago brand has solidified their reputation as a good neighbor and generous community partner.

Along with the start of the new school year, Lou Malnati’s encourages all school clubs and sports teams to sign up for their own special fundraising event. Groups can use a simple online form to schedule a Giveback Night at any of Lou’s five Milwaukee-area locations and Lou Malnati’s will donate 20% of sales back to their team, club or organization (donations are tallied on orders that mention the organization or use a special online promo code; pre-tax, alcohol excluded). Participating groups are provided with all information and instructions needed to help promote their fundraiser.

In 2021, Lou Malnati’s hosted well over 100 Giveback Nights in the Milwaukee area, resulting in more than $15,000 donated back to the community. With the busiest season for fundraisers still ahead, the pizzeria already has more fundraisers on the calendar for 2022 than were hosted last year – with plenty of room to add more.

Other highlights of Lou’s community support include:

  • Lou’s Malnati’s sponsorship of Children’s Fest Day at Summerfest allowed nearly 6,000 guests to gain free access to the festival in 2021 and more than 16,000 got in free courtesy of Lou’s in 2022.
  • Aside from Summerfest, Lou Malnati’s increased its sponsorship of local organizations this year, as well. A few key partners include Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, Waukesha Youth Soccer through the City of Waukesha, and Nicolet High School and Park District.
  • Straight monetary donations to organizations so far in 2022 are already four times the total give in 2021.

“Along with serving up delicious, authentic Chicago-style deep dish, it’s equally important to us that we live up to our reputation as a good neighbor and community champion,” says Marc Malnati, owner, a second-generation family member who proudly carries on the Malnati family tradition. “It’s how we built our business and it’s how we thank the people, families and organizations who’ve welcomed us to this community with open arms.”

Earlier this year, Lou Malnati’s also launched a major contest to honor Milwaukee area teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week and served up free lunch to teams at several Ascension facilities to celebrate Nurse Appreciation Day.

Lou Malnati’s opened its fifth Milwaukee area location in Oak Creek in August, near Drexel Town Square, and joins the pizzeria’s full service restaurant in Brookfield and carryout and delivery stores in Fox Point, Greenfield, and Waukesha.
