GRB: Making it easier to get to Lambeau Field for the game – all season long

(Green Bay, Wis.) – Flying to and from Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) on Packers gamedays will be easier this season with more seats being made available on flights from O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago to GRB, as well as two nonstop options, offered by American Airlines.

“At a time when many airports are seeing a downturn in the number of airline seats each day, it’s exciting to see American Airlines bring in its Airbus A319 with 120+ seats on each flight to accommodate the demand by football fans,” stated  Airport Director Marty Piette, A.A.E. “These schedule changes and larger planes allow fans the best options when connecting to the game or to their home airport. It’s good for the fans and for our local economy.”

The expanded seating starts with the September 18th Bears game and continues through the early January 2023 Lions game. American previously announced it is offering two nonstop flights to Packers games:

The Sept. 25 Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers game

The Nov. 13 Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers.

1 p.m.

  • The Monday, Nov. 14 return flight leaves GRB at 7:00 a.m. and lands at DFW at 9:35 a.m.

“I appreciate American Airlines responding to the growing demand for travel to GRB, and by expanding capacity it helps more fans visit Greater Green Bay,” said Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach. “Brown County is a welcoming community, and this announcement allows us to entertain even more visitors during the football season.”
