(Fox Cities, WI; June 22, 2022) The Fox Cities Chamber has announced its schedule for Fox Cities Days, their popular workforce attraction program held at Midwestern college campuses. This year they will be visiting four different campuses in September and October:
· Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Mich. will be September 8
· University of Wisconsin-Platteville is on September 20
· University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, date TBD
· Concordia University in Mequon, date TBD
Fox Cities Days provides a platform for businesses to bring the Fox Cities experience to students on college campuses. Each campus visit allows a select number of companies to showcase their business, allowing students to learn about career opportunities in our region.
“This is a unique opportunity for Fox Cities employers to recruit some of the Midwest’s best and brightest talent for both internships and full-time roles. It will also be our opportunity to present a unified message that the Fox Cities is a great place to live, work, and play,” said Sharla Jens, VP Employer and Talent Development.
At each campus, Fox Cities employer booths will be setup in a tent located in the middle where students can learn about the Fox Cities and immediate career opportunities available with employers.
For the Michigan Technological University visit, Jens said employers have an opportunity to take part in that campus’s first recruiting event of the school year and be top of mind for students who attend. Additionally, the cost to participate in the Chamber’s event on September 6 is significantly lower than the school’s recruitment day later that fall.
All regional employers are invited to participate, though recruiting opportunities will be focused in the areas of engineering, business, health care, computer science, cybersecurity, and construction management.
