Doyenne: Evergreen Fund invests in 2ft. D

Doyenne Group, Inc.’s Evergreen Fund has made a $50,000 investment in 2ft. Design Data, Inc. (dba 2ft.D), a SaaS company. 2ft.D is an online toolbox that guides the user through the steps to fully plan their development project. Through using their planning and project management tools, users have a professional pitch deck of their project overview, costs, community impact, etc. all for sharing with potential investors. The tool is designed to be used by small to medium development firms who care about maintaining the local culture of a community, and creating social impact. 

2ft.D is a woman and veteran led corporation based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with connections across the country. The company is currently continuing to fundraise their seed round of capital for completion of their toolbox and is onboarding customers. The dollars used through the Doyenne Evergreen Fund for this investment deal were received from the Craig & Kathrine Hall Foundation. With this investment, all dollars raised within the Doyenne Evergreen Fund have been allocated to ventures based in Wisconsin and the fund is now closed until returns or future fundraising begins again.

Launched in 2018, the Doyenne Evergreen Fund operates within the 501c3 organization and all returns made on investments stay within the organization. Doyenne Evergreen Fund raised dollars from The City of Madison, WEDC, and numerous local foundations and individuals to build the fund. It has awarded dollar to 34 ventures total. Of those funded, 29 were awarded $5,000 grants and 5 received $50,000 equity deals. Demographics of funded ventures (based on information gathered in funding application): Women = 86%, Men=17%, BIPOC=31%, Caucasian/White=48%, “Choose not to answer”=21%
