WISCONSIN DELLS, Wisc. (March 22, 2021) — The Outdoor Heritage Education Center (OHEC) will have their Touch of the Wild trailers and Mammals of Wisconsin touch tables on display at the Wisconsin Open Season Sportsman’s Expo at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in the Wisconsin Dells, March 26-28.
OHEC’s exhibits include dozens of mounted animals, furs and feathers, from Wisconsin and elsewhere. Visitors can touch a life-size wolf, tiger, bear, coyote, beaver, otter, fish and many other wildlife species. Educational signage and quizzes share facts and information for attendees to gain knowledge of the outdoors world.
“Our volunteers look forward to visiting with the outdoors families and individuals who come to the Open Season Sportsman’s Expo because, like all of us exhibitors, they share a passion for healthy, responsible outdoor recreation,” said Mark LaBarbera, founder of the Outdoor Heritage Education Center. “We are kindred spirits.”
Traditionally, attendees of all ages continue to come back to discover things that were missed the first time or two walking through the Outdoor Heritage Education Center’s Touch of the Wild trailers and Mammals of Wisconsin touch tables. In the trailers attendees, can touch everything (except the porcupine).
OHEC also welcomes the charitable non-profit, Friends of Poynette Game Farm’s “Wall of Guns” Raffle at the Wisconsin Open Season Sportsman’s Expo, with all proceeds going to outdoor education, Youth Conservation Congress, and Learn to Hunt events for all ages.
