Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce: Announces recipients of 2021 Business Friend of the Environment Award

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) – the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association – announced on Wednesday that nine companies are receiving the Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment Award. For over three decades WMC has presented this award to companies who have demonstrated environmental leadership.

“It is an honor to recognize Wisconsin businesses that go above and beyond in their efforts to grow their business while protecting the environment,” said WMC Director of Environmental & Energy Policy Craig Summerfield. “All of these businesses are great examples of the business community’s efforts to grow the economy and preserve the environment for the future of Wisconsin.”

This year’s award winners represent companies in each category size, ranging from small to large, that have made significant improvements in the areas of sustainability, innovative technology and environmental stewardship. The goal of this awards program is to demonstrate to state policymakers, businesses and the public that sound environmental practices are good for Wisconsin and its business environment.

“Congratulations to the winners of the 31st Annual Business Friend of the Environment Award,” added Summerfield.
